Cheesy Potato Popper recipe is the ultimate perfect bite - crispy, spicy, cheesy and yummy!! These non fried poppers are going to rock and roll your next party ! Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Low calorie, this recipe is easy to make but feels total gourmet!!
2 medium boiled potatoes
1 cup Panko Style Bread Crumbs
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli or cayenne pepper powder
1 tsp curry powder
½ tbsp ginger powder
½ tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (or ½ tbsp dried cilantro)
12 cheese cubes- 1 cm each
1 jalapeño pepper- thinly sliced ( optional)
Salt per taste
In a mixing bowl, mash the boiled potatoes to smooth consistency. Add panko and all spices. Mix well and create a smooth dough by kneading it a few times.
Portion the dough into 12 equal portions. Scoop each portion of the mixture on your palm and make round cups.
In the middle place the cheese cube. You can add a jalapeno slice with it if you wish .
Cover the top with the rest of the dough and make smooth round balls.
Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1.5" in diameter).
Pre-heat the air fryer to 380°F.
Arrange the balls in a single layer in your air fryer basket and then air-fry for 15 minutes at 380°F. The poppers are done when they get golden brown and crisp from all around.
