This dish was a common occurrence in the Porter household growing up. Make and enjoy for a taste of our childhood.
3 lb hamburger (chuck or sirloin)
1-2 cloves of garlic
½ onion diced
2 bricks mozzarella cheese (easier to shred when slightly frozen)
2 cans of dececco tomato (concentrated/crushed)
1 jar of ragu sauce (any size jar)
Oregano, salt, pepper, basil leaves (crushed), pinch of sugar, garlic salt (put in sauce), parmesan cheese
1-1/2 lb. ziti pasta (boil for about 12-14 min.)
Brown hamburger and chopped garlic cloves
After it is browned drain and take out garlic
Chop garlic and put into sauce
Put tomatoes into the pan and add seasonings to taste
Add drained hamburger and chopped garlic to sauce and stir
Add parmesan cheese towards the end and stir in
Shred the mozzarella cheese
Layer ziti into pan in this order:

Ziti noodles
Sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Noodles
Sauce
Mozzarella cheese
Cook at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes, or until bubbling. Enjoy!
