Pillsbury pie crust (use this rather than making your own. It will be a lot easier)
6-8 apples, peeled
¾ cup sugar
Cinnamon, to taste
2 tbsp flour
¾ cup flour
½ cup sugar
⅓ cup butter, softened
Peel about 6-8 apples and slice them into a large bowl. Don’t make the slices too thin or too thick.
Pour about ¾ cup sugar over them and cinnamon (I just pour it over until it gives the apples a brownish tint)
Mix the apples, sugar and cinnamon up and then add 2 tablespoons of flour and mix again.
Let the apples sit about 10 minutes and then pour into your already made pie shell.
After the apples are placed into the shell-put a few slices of butter or oleo on the apples.
Take the top crust and lay over the apples and make sure you seam the two crusts with a fork (Make about 5-6 knife slits into the top crust).
Put a fork into some flour (so the dough won’t stick to the fork) and then press the two crusts together on the edges.
Dab the top crust lightly with milk and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
Preheat oven to 450. Cook pie for 15 minutes at 450 and an additional 45 minutes at 350, for a total time of 1 hour.
Combine ¾ cup flour, ½ cup sugar and ⅓ cup butter, softened, in a medium bowl.
Mix with a fork until crumbly
Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture, in lieu of the other pillsbury crust.
